Hello, everyone. As I mentioned, my name is Abbey. My passion is to find the place where hospitality, really good food, and relationships collide.

You'll find mainly plant based recipes as I've been experimenting in the kitchen for as long as I can remember. This means whole, real food that not only tastes great, but also nourishes your body. I'm continuously learning about holistic health and nutrition. 

I've struggled on this unrealistic search for the perfect way to eat. The diet that gives me unlimited energy, allows me to eat as much food as I want, all while achieving this unattainable view of perfection.

I'm not perfect. Never do I want it to be assumed that I have all of my crap together because I post these vegan, gluten-free recipes. I've struggled with disordered eating and depression, and know what it's like to not see the beauty in yourself. It's a journey, everyone. I'm still overcoming the struggles.

Society has put this standard on our diets over night. Rapidly we're told these superfoods are going to turn you into the Hulk for a hot 30 seconds, then we pass to the next trendy food on Instagram. Healthy eating has never been so trendy and that's rather scary. 

No judgment here, no expectations, just a seat at the table.

I'll also be updating you with lifestyle posts. Maybe some DIYs, as I like to get crafty and artistic, or updates on what I've been doing to take care of my soul's need for community and conversation. 

This is the exploration of what my heart longs for.
